English 

In this last post, I talk about challenges in this subject.  Well, always I liked English, so this class don’t be very difficult to me and I like a lot. I think that one of the most difficult thinks about English is to write it, since I understanding very well. So, in my opinion write this blog it was very helpful, since it is not usually written in English and this allows us to speak and understanding it much better.

Regarding what I find most difficult about this language, is sometimes correctly conjugating the words, since sometimes I forget the grammar. I believe that this is improved by practicing, reading, listening, writing and breathing English. I still do this; I always try to watch series in English without subtitles, I try to translate the songs and watch videos with English subtitles so than I can read it. I think all this help my language a lot. I also need to improve it since I may make a trip to another country soon, and I can only communicate in this language. And in my opinion that that way I learn even more.  

 

Things that I propose to change at my university

I study Plastics Arts in the Universidad de Chile, in the faculty of Las Encinas. I love my career but I feel that can be better in somethings, for example, I like the curriculum, but I have many workshops that are very interesting and I, which I can learn a lot, the problem is that you cannot take all of them. Also, the curriculum has changed and now the first- years students have another. A suggestion to be able to take the workshop that I want, from the new or the old curriculum. All this with a credit system.

The faculty is in a bad state, it is raining, it doesn’t have enough seats and tables and they even say that the roof has asbestos, among other things that make our studies difficult. In my opinion, a correct infrastructure is fundamental for our development as artist, so, I think they should invest more money for this area.

Another thing I believe that is very important are the teachings methods, as far as I am concerned each teacher has different methods, there are some that I like a lot and others that I don’t agree whit them, and I’m not interested in. The way I see it, we should know the teachers methods before choosing the subjects, so that we can choose what kind of teaching I want to my future.

 

The song that makes me travel

“Any colour you like” of pink Floyd from “the dark side of the moon” album, is one of my favorite song, I have very good memories with this song, and every time I hear it, I travel to another world or another dimension. One of the best memories that I have with this song, was when we went camping with some very good friends in “El cajón del maipo”. I remember that at night after being all day bathing in the river, we made a fire and began to have fun, and we thought about going for walk at night to look at the stars, so when we went we put this record on while we were walking, and the stars look beautiful, and right in this song many 

shooting stars passed by and just like the song says, we started to see colors, any colour we liked. I keep this memory as one of the most beautiful ones, it is one of the moments in which I have felt very happy with very little. I felt a lot of love and I will always keep this memory in my heart.

 My pretty puppy Kiara

When I was child I always wanted a puppy, but we never adopted one because my parent’s didn´t want. Therefore, when they got divorced in 2004 when I was 8 years old, my mom adopted my first pet, Kiara, and I became a dog lover. She was a very beautiful puppy and changed my life. I love her, and I think she came to save me, in fact I tell her that she is my therapist dog, she always there for me and gives me her energy and love.

I think that the pets come into our lives to take care and change us lives. It is said that dogs know what people feel and absorb bad vibes.

Now my puppy is 16 years old and she´s fine to being so old, she plays, runs and is very happy. We say that she is a jovial dog although lately has had problems with her bones, her legs bend and sometimes she falls and hit herself. That makes me very sad because I can see how he has aged and that he does not have much more time with us. I wish it was eternal.

A unforgettable concert 

Pink floyd is one of my favorite bands, because I love the psycodelic rock. This band broke up in 1985 with the departure of Roger Watters (one of their main singers). Therefore, when I found out that he was coming to Chile, I knew I had to go for second time. The first time he came was in March 2012 and was incredible, he played songs only from the album “The wall”, but the second time was amazing because I went with my parents, and he played songs from “the wall”, “Dark side of the moon”, “The animals” and others, the tour was called "Us and them". When started the show I cry, I felt emotions that I had not felt in another concert. This was in November 2018 in the “Estadio nacional”, we were on the court on that occasion and the atmosphere was one of excitement and fatigue since there was a lot waiting standing.

Roger waters shows are full of special effects, lights shows, fireworks, and a sound that makes you vibrate, so it was worth the wait. This was an unforgettable experience.

 A place a would like to go

Hi everyone, my name is Daniela Melillán and i well tell you  about the country that i would love to travel and maybe one day live in there.

Mexico! i think that their culture is amaizing, how celebrate "La noche de los muertos" or Halloween, their food that always has avocado or something spicy in it, and i would love to try all their street food, or well, allmost all. Also i belive that they respect their ancestor and traditions a lot, and dont feel shame of them like many peaople of america. 

Mexico has some very beautiful landscape and places like mayan ruins in Chichén Itza, Oaxaca with their architecture and crafts. 

One of the
reasons why i would like to live there is because i think they value art much more than in Chile, besides thet i would love to learn new techniques and mexican art.

Well, my parents alwais said that i had to study anything, so i started to think about that. First i want to be a dentist, because i liked the instruments that they use, i haved like six years old, after that i dont really tkink that until i have sixteen years old where i wanted to be an engineer or architec, the truth is both options were for the money, i chose architect but not only for the money, for creating, art and design, i love that. I started study that career in 2016 because first i take a year after the school, i recommend thath.
One year and a half later i hate the career, i was exhausted, very stressed, one brink of the depression so i decided leave the studies. My parents don't have belive that, after always repat me that i had to study anithyng so i did the PSU for the third time and i start study art, this is my career, i love it, really now i feel that im where i want.

Respect about the kind of job i would like to have, i dont like think abouth that because i i dont know, im olny learn what else i can and make something with that.
